BOOM Sailing Course 2011
Taught by
Ontario Sailing Association Certified Instructors

Each summer, the Ontario Sailing Association (OSA) offers a BOOM Mobile sailing school program that travels the province to teach sailing to children ages 8 – 14 in day programs and to youth/adults in evenings. This year, we have requested that two weeks be reserved for classes on Chandos Lake, from Chandos Beach.

The dates of Boom on Chandos are July 4-8 and August 15-19.

The BOOM Mobile program is intended to give participants a fun introduction to the sport of sailing, and give them an opportunity to develop their sailing skills. Participants are taught the basics of sailing using the Canadian Yachting Association's (CYA) White Sail Level 1, 2 and 3 standards. By using double-handed sailing dinghies the CYA can introduce beginners to sailing, while still challenging the more advanced sailor.
