The Boater Exam Training Program

The 2010 Boater Training Program for Youth will be held
June 26th and 27th at the Glen Alda Community Centre.
On Saturday June 26th & Sunday June 27th this year, we will hold a full day course for youth. The Sunday includes a specific review of boating on Chandos Lake and the North Kawartha Fire Department course on fire extinguishers. Each participant who successfully passes receives their lifetime PLEASURE CRAFT OPERATOR CARD.
The $75 registration fee includes: Training manual, 1.5 days of training, Exam and Graduation Ceremony.
The late Harold Forbes, who passed away in 2007, a past president of the CLPOA, and teacher of the original Boatwise course graduated over 567 students. In honour of Staff Commander Harold Forbes – Canadian Power Squadron, those who receive 100% on their Exam scores will receive the “Harold Forbes Memorial Award”.
